Version 0.2.2 release
Hello friends!
While enjoying a little break from this project after finishing university I have over the past couple of months patched up a few bugs here and there. Enough that I feel it's worth pushing out this small bugfix patch before I really knuckle down for the next significant content drop.
Change log:
- The boss will no longer spawn in a room that would be deemed as too small for a boss fight
- Consumable Items now no longer spawn in rooms with powerups
- Consumable items now wait to spawn until after the boss is defeated
- Added a new main menu background and repositioned the UI to the centre
- Added version number text to the bottom of the main menu
- Fixed an issue that caused the first button in a menu system not to highlight when hovered over
Dev notes:
Most of these changes patch holes in the game's timeline (receiving a consumable before defeating the boss etc...) and future-proofing the game for the addition of bosses later down the line.
The main menu was also changed because some confusion was experienced when players were able to the tutorial and play arrows below the remaining menu canvas but were unable to access them.
